Boston Business Journal weighed multiple test scores to rank districts across the state.

The Boston Business Journal recently put together a list ranking the top performing school districts in Massachusetts. Sudbury ranked near the top of the list, according to the publication.

Sudbury Public Schools ranked No. 11 on the list, which featured 25 schools from around the state.

"In this week's Boston Business Journal, we used district-wide MCAS scores for all grade levels as well as SAT and PSAT results to rank the top-performing school districts in Massachusetts," the BBJ article said in describing its criteria. "The scores were weighted to derive a cumulative-test ranking among districts that participate in all three exams."

Lexington was No. 1 on the list, while Sudbury fell just outside the top ten.

According to the report, Sudbury students were ranked No. 39 in MCAS scores and No. 12 statewide when it came to the SATs with an average score of 1801 in 2013.
