Sudbury Public Schools has announced it has closed school for the day on Monday, Oct. 29, due to the impending storm.
Superintendent Anne Wilson said in an email to Sudbury Patch that a message has been sent to all parents and staff in regards to the school closing.
"We will update families by tomorrow evening regarding whether or not school will be open on Tuesday, Oct. 30," Wilson wrote. "Student safety is our first priority and this along with information available regarding power outages, road hazards, etc. will guide our decision for Tuesday."
Hurricane Sandy is expected to be at its worse tomorrow afternoon, and Gov. Deval Patrick at a press conference this afternoon requested all schools, public and private, be closed Monday. Additionally, he's asking that private companies allow their employees to stay home.
