Spencer Financial Partners, Bill Spencer and Sam Baldwin represent firm at groundbreaking

The Habitat for Humanity project to build four single family homes in two duplex structures on town-donated land on Stonebridge Road in Wayland, kicked off with a ground breaking ceremony on June 29th 2013. Spencer Financial was represented at the groundbreaking by the firm’s Partners, Bill Spencer, CFP® and Sam Baldwin, CFP®.

In addition to providing financial support as a Copper Hammer Sponsor, the Firm’s partners and staff will participate in a full day Team Build in the fall. Construction is expected to take 12-15 months. Spencer Financial has a tradition of giving back to the community, so a local Habitat build seemed like a perfect next step.

The mission of Habitat for Humanity is to build simple, decent, affordable houses and sell them interest-free at no profit to low income families seeking adequate housing. The families contribute 400-500 sweat equity hours toward their home and/or other Habitat projects.
