Duxbury Eliminates Girls Hockey From Postseason

After a preliminary round win over Melrose, the Warriors' season came to a close over the weekend.

A strong Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School girls hockey season came to a close over the weekend.

No. 5 seed Duxbury was too much for the locals, as they were eliminated in the Division 1 first round with a 5-0 setback.

In the preliminary round, Lincoln-Sudbury outlasted No. 21 Melrose with a 2-1 win to set up the meeting with Duxbury.

But the Warriors didn't have enough for the bracket's fifth seed, and Duxbury advanced to the quarterfinal round where they will take on Watertown/Belmont on Wednesday at 5 p.m. on the ice of Stoneham Arena.
