SHS's Sunday, April 1st, program on King Philip "Naborhood"

Historic Houses Program on April 1

Whether you live in an historic house or are interested in knowing more about historic houses,  you will want to attend the next program of The Sudbury Historical Society on Sunday, April 1 at 2PM in  Sudbury Town Hall.

Preservation Planning Consultant and Wayland resident, Gretchen Schuler (pictured here at the Historic District sign) , will explain how houses have been classified as ‘Historic’ and will take  you on a virtual tour of the houses in the King Philip Historic District in Sudbury (from Rt. 20 near  King Philip Rd. west to  Concord Rd and  north to Old Lancaster Rd).   The program will be very interesting and informative!

She currently serves on the Historic New England Council and Landscape Committee and is Chairman of the Wayland Historic District Commission. Her home of 35 years,  known as Reeves Tavern,  is one of the oldest homes (circa 1762) in Wayland.

The Sudbury Historical Society will serve refreshments following the program and will have many of their items, such as, books, note cards and maps of old Sudbury available for sale. Donations from non-members are always appreciated!
