Former L-S Baseball Standout Garners Preseason Honor at Bryant

Dan Cellucci tabbed the preseason rookie of the year in the Northeast Conference by College Sports Madness.

He hasn't played a single inning, but Dan Cellucci is already making an impact for the Bryant University baseball team.

Cellucci, who helped Lincoln-Sudbury win the Division 1 state title two years ago, was named the Preseason Northeast Conference rookie of the year by College Sports Madness.

According to the report, Cellucci's preseason honor marks the second consecutive season that a Bulldog has been selected by College Sports Madness.

Cellucci suits up for Bryant after a spectacular career at Lincoln-Sudbury, where hit .435 and drove in 18 runs during his senior season.

He finished his Division I state championship season with a .536 batting average (top 5 in the state) in 2011.
