Lincoln-Sudbury Basketball Teams Receive Playoff Assignments

The boys and girls teams will each be playing in the Central Division 1 postseason.

The regular season is a thing of the past for Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School basketball teams as they received their postseason assignments on Friday.

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletics Association released its brackets for the Central Division 1, and the Warriors are included in the boys and girls pairings.

Lincoln-Sudbury's girls basketball team finished the regular season with a record of 12-8 and as a result will enter the tournament as the No. 9 seed. The locals will take on Shrewsbury in the first round, with tip off scheduled for 7 p.m. on the road Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Also in the postseason is the Lincoln-Sudbury boys basketball team. The Warriors snagged the No. 7 seed, also putting together a 12-8 regular season.

The boys open their postseason run with a Monday home game against Doherty. Tip off comes at 7 p.m.

Basketball won't be the only playoff action for Lincoln-Sudbury. The hockey brackets are expected to be released on Saturday afternoon. Check back with Sudbury Patch after the brackets are unveiled for details.
