Lincoln-Sudbury Boys and Girls Lacrosse Teams Receive High Playoff Seeds

The MIAA released its postseason pairings on Friday, and the Warriors are among the title contenders.

There are plenty of state title contenders in the boys and girls lacrosse postseason draws. And among them are two Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School squads.

On Friday the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association released its playoff pairings, informing the Warrior teams what they'll face in the opening round.

The girls lacrosse team racked up a regular season record of 12-3-1, earning Lincoln-Sudbury the No. 2 seed in the East Division 1 bracket.

Thanks to that record, the locals snagged a first round bye. The Lady Warriors await the winner of No. 7 Framingham versus No. 10 King Philip, a game that is scheduled for Tuesday at 4 p.m.

If Lincoln-Sudbury can win its quarterfinal contest, a game date that is to be decided, it will take on either No. 3 Franklin, No. 6 Natick, or No. 11 Cambridge with a berth in the semifinal on the line.

On the boys side, the Warriors put together a 13-6 regular season record to earn the No. 3 seed in North Division 1.

In the first round, Lincoln-Sudbury will take on No. 14 Cambridge. That contest is a home tilt slated for Wednesday at 5 p.m.

The winner of that opening round game will play either No. 6 North Andover or No. 11 Central Catholic on Saturday, May 31.
