Lincoln-Sudbury Girls Swim to Second in Division 1

The locals earned a runner up finish over the weekend.

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School's girls swim team put up a strong finish over the weekend and finished second to just one team during the Division 1 meet.

Head coach Ann Bourdrot's charges racked up 211 points to come earn runner up hardware behind Westford Academy, according to a Patch blog post by the Lincoln-Sudbury swim team.

In the diving portion of the competition, junior Kim Yang was second out of 23 foes, and diving coach Shawn Powers said, "The state meet was the best I have ever seen Kim dive in the last three years," according to the blog post.

Among the long list of highlights from the Division 1 meet was the 200-yard freestyle team of Caroline Goswami, Ansley Baker, Courtney Brown and Katherine O'Shea. The team won first place in a close race, pushing past Westford Academy late in the race.

"I am very proud of the girls for leaving nothing in the tank and leaving it in the pool and getting a second place finish at the state meet and having a very successful season," said Boudrot.
