Domestic Violence Roundtable Gets Voice for Justice Award

The community organization is recognized.

The Mary Young Voice for Justice Award was presented to the Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable at REACH's annual meeting, reported WaylandeNews.

The award was given to recognize the Roundtable for its efforts to raise awareness about domestic violence. The Roundtable was also given a Congressional citation.

The Roundtable is, as posted on its site, a community based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting safe and healthy relationships, raising public awareness about abusive and controlling behaviors whether exhibited through bullying, teen dating violence, domestic violence, or elder abuse, and ending relationship violence in all its forms.

"We pursue these goals by educating our communities, supporting agencies that provide services to victims of abuse, networking with other concerned community groups, and mobilizing community leaders."
