I've been going there for years. It's a no-frills, "get-the-job-done" type of place - exactly what I like about it. Phil and Bill provide good banter while cutting your hair. Plenty of reading material while waiting. Saturdays are very busy, as are weekday mornings when regulars often wait for the doors to open. It's best to go weekday afternoons or after 2:00 if you must go on a Saturday. Very friendly atmosphere. There's usually some kind of sporting even playing on the TV.

The Shack is great. It's the real-deal old-style barbershop where your father (and probably your grandfather) got their hair cut. Just don't call it a "salon". It's like the place that time forgot, which is kind of comforting when all the chain stores are ravaging the neighborhood.
Ken Burns should probably film a documentary about this place and it's delightful owners before they retire and it is torn down to make room for a new TD Bank.
