I am writing this note to let others know just how good The Tech Guy (Stan Pilavin) is.
One morning when I went to turn on my computer it did not turn on. The disk activity light blinked several times, but the screen stayed black. Neither the mouse nor the keyboard seemed to work. I tried unplugging and plugging a few times, but the computer was obviously dead.
I immediately called The Tech Guy. Fortunately for me, he had time later that same day. I brought the computer to him and within an hour, my computer was up and running again. But, that was not good enough for Stan. He went on to look around my computer. What he saw were a lot of programs I did not use. He deleted those extraneous programs and others that I did not even know were on my machine. The net result was that, when The Tech Guy was done, my computer was noticeably faster and worked better than it had recently.
But, even that was not good enough Stan. He spent time teaching me how to maintain my computer to avoid many of the problems I had been experiencing recently. Furthermore, he showed me some web sites where I could get software that would maintain my computer in its good shape. And, all this was done with pleasant conversation and a constant smile.
My experience assured me that The Tech Guy is both knowledgeable, pleasant and, lest I forget to mention it, reasonably priced.

A virus attacked my computer and I was unable to work. On a recommendation from a colleague I called Stan. Within 24 hours he had my system rebuilt and working even better than before the virus hit. He took a personal interest in getting it set up just the way I needed it to work. He saved the day!

We were looking for someone to come to our house to attend to an initial problem. Stan was able to fix the problems for both of our computers, including setting up a storage backup unit, that works very well for us. We asked Stan about other issues, including certain software upgrades and he was able to make a fix on the stickiest problems.He made several helpful suggestions and instructed us on various things to make our lives easier. He is very patient, which is a wonderful characteristic when dealing with people who are a bit techno-phobic.

Stan is awesome to work with. Having just moved into our new home, there were quite a few things that needed to get set up and connected such us 4 computers, AppleTV, surround sound system and syncing garage openers to our cars. He did all that and also helped us with file storage and got all 4 of our slow running computers running like new again. He was so easy to work with and he took the time to explain what he was doing every step of the way. We highly recommend Stan for all your computer and electronic needs.

Stan "The Tech Guy" helped us get all our computers back up to perfect running condition. He was very helpful and customized what we needed for our specific technical needs. He was able take my computer, remove the problem and even restructured my data which greatly improved the startup and launch time for my applications. I highly recommend Stan Pilavin the Tech Guy. I had a major computer malfunction and lost all of my work and personal email from the last 11/2 years. After my own attempts and the Applecare attempts, Stan was the only one who was able to restore my emails. We discussed my technology needs and he came up with several new products and that I am utilizing. He is very responsive and knowledgable and very easy to work with.

Stan made upgrading my PC a pleasure! He picked up the new PC, monitor and set everything up without a glitch. My email was getting out of control. I wanted to read my various email accounts on different devices but found that I was often rereading the same email on each device. Deleting them on my phone didn't delete them from my computer and vice-versa. Techguy was able to set me up so that all of my devices remained in sync. No more rereading emails or having to do multiple deletes. It's amazing how much time I am now saving every day by making this change. U highly recommend Techguy's services!

Stan has been extremely helpful! He helped us with so many different ways in which to improve and maximize our use of the technology we have at the tip of our fingers. These improvements have simplified the way I spend my time on the computer and Iphone, and I love it!

I purchased a new laptop and Stan helped me transfer data from my old lap top that was difficult to access. I then had him clean up my daughter's laptop that had been running very slowly.
