We are very happy with Woodsedge Children's Center. It is a caring and welcoming facility. The staff are focused on providing the best learning environment. The director and every staff member take an interest in each individual child to help them develop the tools to become well-adjusted on every level. They provide great support and feedback and encourage parents to participate in every aspect of their development.

Founded in 1989, WoodsEdge Children's Center is a child care and educational center intended to offer small classroom sizes in a nurturing and home-like setting. On the property are two buildings and three playgrounds set in a scenic area of Sudbury. Students are separated into six classes: Infants (2 months - 15 months), young toddlers (15 months - 24 months), toddlers (24 months - approximately 30 months), preschool one and preschool two (approximately 30 months and potty-trained to 48 months), and preschool three (approximately 48 months to kindergarten-ready).
WoodsEdge Childrens Center was founded in 1989. Jackie Downing. Founder, wanted to create a quality program offering small class sizes with low teacher/child ratios. Each classroom is designed to provide a warm home like environment in contrast to a more corporate setting. The WoodsEdge staff is trained in early childhood development and practices and is knowledgeable in creating a comprehensive curriculum. The grounds include 5.9 acres of land allowing for 3 playgrounds and plenty of room for exploration. The buildings house six classrooms and a gym. Children attend utilizing both full and part time schedules. Curriculum is planned with kindergarten readiness skills in mind. Social, emotional, physical and intellectual development is achieved as we become familiar with each individual child and their learning style. WoodsEdge is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care and follows NAEYC guidelines. All staff are trained in Pediatric First Aid and most are also trained in CPR. Many of the WoodsEdge staff are also parents bringing that valuable supplemental life experience into the classroom. We encourage you to visit our program and find out more about the most valuable service you will ever purchase. The enrollment procedure includes receipt of a parent packet and a subsequent intake appointment. You may bring your child when first visiting to view the actual dynamics of the classroom. We have been a Woodsedge family for 6 years and LOVE it! They provide a supportive, nurturing environment for the children and truly believe in the importance of having a well-rounded experience. We love the 3+ outdoor playgrounds and indoor gym for the kids, especially in the winter months - they will always get their exercise! The staff is wonderful and as we approach our last year there, I will truly be sad to leave.
