"The pork industry has committed $ 1.7 million to research how the virus....spread so quicklyRead More after it was reported in the nation's top pork-producing states..." Gimme a hundred bucks, i'll tell ya how. >>> IT'S BECAUSE YOU PUT THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF PIGS TOGETHER IN SMALLISH SPACES VERY CLOSE TOGETHER AND ''LIVING'' IN UNBELIEVABLY FILTHY CONDITIONS !!! <<< Oh, DAMN, i shoulda waited for someone to offer me that hundred....

: ( So very disappointing. Seeing all the sales they were offering was a tip. I used to buy fromRead More their catalog years ago and was happy to see them close to home. The young people of today are into styles unappealing to those of us who prefer the classic look, but lately could not find anything that cried "buy me" on the racks. There was a time that their clothes reeked of class......What happened?
steve forte April 16, 2014 at 07:44 am
What happened is even thou people thought nothing of paying $45 - $55 even $100 for a pair of jeansRead More in the 80's they want to buy em for $19 now. Try giving employees health ins when you are making $1 off of a pair of jeans. Good luck with that.
J. Parker April 16, 2014 at 12:46 pm
I totally agree, Steve. Jeans should never have cost that much money in the first place. They areRead More not the nicest looking pants to be wearing everywhere....And with holes in them at that ! Who ever came up with THAT for an "in look"? Some look dirty as well, although I don't recall Coldwater carrying those.

FRACKING: The International Energy Agency said the U.S. will overtake Saudi Arabia and Russia asRead More the world's largest oil producer by 2015. FRACKING: The U.S did not sign the Kyoto protocol for reducing C02 emissions, however the U.S. Has reduced C02 emissions by more than Kyoto agreements because of fracking.

Paul......So, did you actually read my comment? It's not a junk store. It's sells food, and everydayRead More products. Even pet foods. So, like I said. It must be nice being rich, and not caring where your money goes. That's half the problem with America. People with any kind of money, could give a crap less about the people with not so much money. Yet. When there's an overseas tragedy, you people are right there with your check books to make a donation because it boosts your yuppy ego, and makes you think that your better than everyone else. So answer me a question Paul? When you go into a store and the product that you want to buy is, say, only .99cents? Do you not buy it, because you'd ratehr pay more for it somewhere else? Just to make you feel superior to the other person that pays .99cents for it? Please. You make no sense.
J. Parker April 11, 2014 at 04:14 pm
Oh No ! I hope it won't be the Burlington/Lexington store ! Some fo the household products areRead More brand names and worth the 'dollar'.

Sad story, I got my start at the corporate office back when they were in Nashua. Good company withRead More good people back then. I used to smoke butts in the corner office on weekends when nobody was there and then 'test' the marketing department's massage chair. Ah...the good old days...
Old Pizza April 5, 2014 at 08:58 pm
Never liked Brookstone - nothing but overpriced junky gadgets.

What are the open positions for? I hope not for more of their pain-in-the-rump door-to-doorRead More salespeople who are constantly trying to sell me some sort of upgrade which I don't need! You almost have to threaten to call the police to get them off of your property!

I agree with you - it's sad we have to have such emergency plans in our schools, places of work,Read More etc... Talk about a culture change Have a great weekend my friend John

Well, Steve, you missed my point completely. My point was that a smart shopper in a free economyRead More will take his/her business elsewhere and never, EVER forget.
Steve Marino March 7, 2014 at 03:39 pm
Deb,I know, I just dissected a small part of what you were saying to prove my point from a previousRead More thread. Mike, a very sad time we are living in. I just hate to see the middle class workers suffer these tax increases on business, because we all know that when a company gets hit with tax increases, they usually cut their biggest expense first, which is generally payroll. It's just sad how many middle class workers voted to CRUSH themselves. At some point I hope they understand this, but with all the lies and propaganda being spread by the left wing radical Democratic Party now in control, it's hard to ever get the truth. They just blame it on their "greedy" bosses because this is the bill of goods they are sold. Very sad!
Iron Mike March 7, 2014 at 05:14 pm
In THIS state in particular Steve, too many adults were raised up hearing at the dinner table aboutRead More how 'greedy and mean those Republican fat cats are'. Their parents – mostly just high school grads at best - never figured out where their paychecks came from. Back then they thought FDR was a god. Today their kids & grandkids think Obama is one too. A certain kind of ignorance can be inherited...
A gun group on Facebook.
Gun Rights March 10, 2014 at 08:37 am
Do a search on facebook for the group "guns of mass for sale/trade" very polite group ofRead More individuals
B/STOCK March 10, 2014 at 03:16 pm
Gun Rights: Watch out. You can go blind reading all the MA firearms rules. The two approvedRead More weapons rosters, will drive you crazy too. Some firearms on one roster and not the other. I know of cases where people wanted non-roster firearms transferred and they just had a FFL register the frame with the SN on it. Gun Rights, your are interpreting my post correctly by saying what " CCW holders will often forfeit the battle even though they know they could win". I wish Aspir7n would chime in and personally clarify what is so sad about this. Many unarmed people are just as civilized and under control and will ignore an idiot or incident. I still stand by my original post that armed people are generally more polite. We back off of any situation that could escalate into violence. Gun Rights. As a RI resident I do not think I can loan a pistol to a MA resident or should I say a MA resident cannot be in possession of my pistol. I could be wrong and if so let me know. Not that I would ever do that because it's legal for me to loan my car to anyone but if they get in an accident I will be liable. Same with the firearm. Have a good day all. Spring is coming.
steve forte March 10, 2014 at 03:23 pm
Funny ya mention Mass. I have a customer who is on Nemlec ( aka swat team) He cannot legaly own someRead More guns that any NH res can. Those type of laws are ridiculous.

My son is really enjoying his book group with Janice Donahue. He loves meeting with her and alsoRead More really loves her book selections. Totally agree with your sentiments, BH. Instead of doing their jobs -- effectively managing theRead More state budget (I know, stop laughing everyone), and rooting out waste, fraud, and corruption at every turn -- the Governor and Democratic-controlled state legislature instead want the easy money, oops, I mean "revenue," that these casinos will (allegedly) pour into the state coffers. Heck, upcoming state budgets are already based on having this casino cash already in hand. That would be like me planning a major purchase today on a bonus I MIGHT receive years down the road. Talk about dumb! If and when casinos do ever get built in this state (remember, folks, this IS Massachusetts, after all) give them just a few years before they all turn into Atlantic City, Part II.
Richard Smith February 25, 2014 at 08:42 am
And in other news, AG Coakley is attempting legislation to forbid casinos from extending credit toRead More people with $800 per month in Social Security and then putting a lien on their homes. That's alright, we'll just put the losers up in public housing. As they say, if you can't spot the pigeon, you're it.
BH February 25, 2014 at 07:46 pm
A bit unrelated and not our problem, but if and when any of these open, it will hurt the CT casinosRead More a bit. They can't be too excited about that (in 15 years when they are finally built)
