Eddie: An honest mistake. There is a big difference between a young ball girl catching a ball thatRead More was fare and spectators trying to get a ball in fare play. Have a heart Eddie. Just smile.

PROBABLY THE ONLY SPORT WHERE YOU NEED A "NO DOZE" TO STAY AWAKE.....WHAT A SNOOZER !
Bill Bowler July 2, 2014 at 07:37 pm
The NFL. What a joke. 3+ hours and if there's 15 minutes of "action" that's a lot. TalkRead More about a snoozer.

Can I get a "get out of work" note to watch corn grow? Much more exciting than soccer.
RI Teabagger June 26, 2014 at 12:59 pm
I'd rather be watching Fox News. Besides, we already beat Germany when it counted.
Celia Brown June 26, 2014 at 03:03 pm
this kinda reminds me of when those moron cut-and-run Democrats hid in their Motel 8's when right toRead More work was passed in WI. remember those stooge doctors writing doctor notes to anyone in a crown who needed to leave work....and go protest against it when the majority of WI'ers wanted it ?
John June 12, 2014 at 05:33 pm
I'd rather watch paint dry.

What? next the Cheerleaders will be required to wear helmets, kneepads, elbow pads and chestRead More protectors.

High school cheer has 4:seasons 1. Football season 2. Basketball season 3. Competition season 4.Read More Summer for camp Allstar teams cheer all year round. If a high school cheerleader doesn't like cheering games then maybe high school cheer Isn't for her. Allstar might be better. It is very important to keep that tradition of cheering at games. cheerleading is more than justttt competition . Cheerleaders bring school spirit to the school at EVERY event. Thats their main job as a high school cheerleader.
Sandy Farias June 19, 2014 at 01:18 pm
Whether someone is being judged for skill or points should not affect whether something is a sportRead More or not. Cheering is as competitive as any sport yet more dangerous as the squad does not wear safety equipment such as helmets or pads. They have mats that break their fall. The cheer squads practice and train vigorously endurance, stamina and winning makes these teams work hard...just like any other sport.

Parents ruin sports..
sportsnut July 14, 2014 at 07:39 am
Alan I agree. Parents coach to get their kids and kids friends a leg up. Kids are choosen too basedRead More on parents and kids being friends. Take AAU and All-Stars and positions in each sport. Parents coach because they want their kid in prime positions, kids are friends with certain kids or because a family does not like someone but the kid has talent not playing. You need "out of area" coaches to come and determine if a kid is "that good" to be at the next level not "locals" whom coach because that is the only way the kid will get playing time.
CowDung July 23, 2014 at 10:20 am
sportsnut: Seems like a perfect opportunity for you to get involved in coaching... If nothingRead More else, becoming a coach will give you a voice in the league to lobby for equal playing time for all kids, and rotation of positions--particularly at the lower levels.

I'd like to see the use if "3rd semester seniors" aka, blue chips that have been basicallyRead More heald back to play as HS students. 19 and 20 year olds who should have been out of HS for a year or more who are still playing football for HSs is absolutely insane and uniqe to New England. If the kids you have can't win, holding onto kids beyond their natural graduation date in order to have an advantage is poor form at least, and cheating at most. I'd like to see any New England HS play any HS from TX, CA, NC, SC, FL, OH, KS, or HI for that matter. They'd be slaughtered, 3rd semester seniors or not. Cheating is cheating and the private HSs seem to make it their job.

I'd like to see the use if "3rd semester seniors" aka, blue chips that have been basicallyRead More heald back to play as HS students, BANNED! 19 and 20 year olds who should have been out of HS for a year or more who are still playing football for HSs is absolutely insane and uniqe to New England. If the kids you have can't win, holding onto kids beyond their natural graduation date in order to have an advantage over other schools is poor form at least, and cheating at most. I'd like to see ANY New England HS play any HS from TX, CA, NC, SC, FL, OH, KS, or HI for that matter. They'd be SLAUGHTERED, 3rd semester seniors or not. Cheating is cheating and the private HSs seem to make it their job to do it. So, I'd like to see ANY MA school against any HS from the forementioned states. LOL, 3rd sememster seniors...you F-ing cheaters....and you're smug about it. Pathetic!
