Rhode Island Man Arrested on Fugitive of Justice Warrant

The following arrest information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A call to the Sudbury Police Department Sunday morning regarding an erratic driver resulted in an arrest of an East Providence, R.I., man. According to Lt. Scott Nix, Alfredo Conde, Estevao, 26, of 7 South Carpenter St., was pulled over on Boston Post Road at about 10:46 a.m. After the responding officer completed an investigation, it was found Estevao had two governor's warrants out for his arrest from Philadelphia. The warrants were for: Estevao was also charged with: Estevao was held overnight and transported to Framingham District Court Monday morning for his arraignment, where he was to be asked whether to fight or waive extradition to Philadelphia. No other information was available.

Man Wanted for Questioning in Regards to $15K Larceny

The following information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The Sudbury Police Department is seeking a man of Asian descent for questioning in regards to a larceny at the Wayside Inn Antique show on Saturday. The larceny was of a ceramic statue valued at $15,000. The man wanted for questioning was last seen at the antique show on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. He is approximately 30 years old, 5-foot-7 with a medium build. He has black hair parted in the center, and he weights approximately 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light-colored nylon jacket. He has dark eyes and olive complexion. Anyone with any information about this man or the statue is asked to call the Sudbury Police Department.

2 Marlborough Residents Arrested in Separate Incidents in Sudbury

Two motor vehicle stops by the Sudbury Police Department on Thursday resulted in two Marlborough residents being arrested. At about 2:45 p.m., an officer driving on Boston Post Road witnessed Ellen Ferreira, 29, of 1 Briarwood Lane, apparently using her cell phone was driving. The officer pulled Ferreira over when she allegedly didn't stop properly for a red light. During the officer's investigation, it was found that Ferreira had a warrant out for her arrest for a motor vehicle incident in Hudson. According to Sudbury Police Lt. Robert Grady, the warrant was for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. Ferreira was arrested on the warrant and was also cited for the red light violation. Sudbury Teen Pulls Out of Driveway, Arrested on License Charge

A Sudbury teenager was arrested Wednesday morning by an officer who was tending to an accident on Boston Post Road. While investigating the accident, the officer noticed Alexander M. Sleczkowski, 19, of 70 Beechwood Ave., drive past the scene. According to Lt. Scott Nix, the officer recognized Sleczkowski and remembered him as having a restricted license. After clearing the accident scene, the officer drove to Sleczkowski's residence to speak with him. Upon arriving, the officer witnessed Sleczkowski pulling out of his driveway at about 9:56 a.m., pulled him over on Beechwood Avenue and arrested him. Sleczkowski faces a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was transported to Framingham District Court later in the day for …

Mark Lane Reopened After Gas Main Break

No injuries reported after plumber damages valve.

Mark Lane was closed earlier Thursday morning after a gas main break was reported. According to Asst. Fire Chief John Whalen, a plumber working inside 10 Mark Lane snapped a turnoff valve in the house, causing the break. "We had free-flowing gas," Whalen said. "It was flowing at 60 pounds per square inch." Once the break happened, the plumber alerted the lone female resident and evacuated the home. There were no injuries. Martin Drive was also closed as a precaution, Sudbury Police officer Al Hutchinson said. Sudbury firefighters had to wait for a supervisory from National Grid to arrive to shutoff of the gas. Sudbury Police Seek Help Stopping Trash Can Vandals

The Sudbury Police Department has been flooded with calls from residents complaining about their trash cans being smashed and dumped all over town, and they are now seeking the help of residents in stopping these acts. According Lt. Robert Grady, kids are believed to be the culprits. "It's starting to inconvenience people," he said. Grady said trash cans have been vandalized in many parts of town. If anyone has information regarding the vandals, they are asked to contact the Sudbury Police Department. In other police news, no one was injured Tuesday afternoon in a three-car accident on Concord Road. Grady said one car was towed from the scene.

Sudbury Resident Helps Police Capture Alleged Mail Thieves

The following arrest information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A call to the Sudbury Police Department Tuesday morning about an alleged larceny resulted in the arrest of two men, including one who was caught wearing a monitoring bracelet. According to Lt. Robert Grady, a resident of Greenhill Road called to report witnessing two men in a black Ford Taurus steal mail from her mailbox. Soon after the call came in, Sgt. John Harris witnessed the Taurus turn on to Boston Post Road via King Philip Road. After Harris was able to identify the vehicle from the description given by the Greenhill Road resident, he following the car to Concord Road, where he witnessed the passenger of the car open a residential mailbox and place something in it. Marine from Sudbury Found Dead on Base

Lance Cpl. Michael J. Ronner, 23, of Sudbury, Mass., was found at approximately 9:15 a.m. Monday. Investigators are treating the case as a suicide.

Camp Pendleton officials released the name of a Marine found dead Monday morning.  Lance Cpl. Michael J. Ronner, 23, of Sudbury, was found at approximately 9:15 a.m, according to base officials.  Camp Pendleton Provost Marshal's Office and paramedics responded to the scene. Paramedics began life saving support but were unsuccessful in resuscitating him. The base has released little on the death, but Naval Criminal Investigative Service agents are treating the Marine's death as a suicide, the North County Times reports. Eleven of the 32 reported Marine Corps suicides last year were on Camp Pendleton, the report adds.  Ronner enlisted in the Marine Corps Jan. 11, 2010 and was assigned to 9th Communication Battalion, I Marine Expeditionary …

Mailbox Vandals Strike Numerous Sudbury Neighborhoods

The Sudbury Police Department is alerting Sudbury residents after a slew of mailbox vandalism cases over the weekend. On Friday, residents on Mossman and Wayside Inn roads alerted Sudbury police after noticing their mailboxes had been vandalized. On Saturday, two residents on Bulkley Road, along with residents on Beechwood Avenue and Great Lake Road reported the same crime. In all, six mailboxes were vandalized. "We have no clues at the moment," Lt. Robert Grady said. "We've advised our patrols to be on the lookout." Grady said according to state law, if caught, the individual or individuals would be charged with destruction of property, which would be a felony. If found guilty, those responsible could face jail time, a fine, or both. …
