Voters Give Primary Win to Incumbent 13th Middlesex Rep

Incumbent Tom Conroy was challenged on the Democratic primary ballot by Steven Hakar.

With 13 of 14 precincts reporting, incumbent representative Tom Conroy (D-Wayland) had secured 89 percent of the vote on his way to a Democratic ticket primary win over challenger Steven Hakar (D-Framingham), Boston.com is reporting. Hakar had garnered 227 votes (11 percent) to Conroy's 1,860, according to numbers reported on Boston.com. Wayland's Conroy is seeking his fourth term as the 13th Middlesex District representative, while Hakar is a first-time candidate for a state position. In all, Boston.com reports, 2,087 votes were cast across 13 of 14 precincts in the district. "I want to thank everybody who supported me today and over the course of the past six years," Conroy said.
