UPDATED: Gov. Patrick Signs Sudbury Selectmen Bill
Despite passing overwhelmingly at last year's Special Town Meeting, the town must vote again at Annual Town Election.
UPDATED: 10:30 A.M. State Sen. Jamie Eldridge confirmed with Sudbury Patch today that Gov. Deval Patrick signed Bill H.4528, a bill to increase the town's Board of Selectmen from three to five members. The bill will now be on the ballot at Annual Town Election on March 25. "I was worried this wouldn't reach the finish line," Eldridge said. "Now it goes to the people." Despite passing at Special Town Meeting last year, the State Legislature ruled the move should be a ballot question at Annual Town Election.
