Bryan Semple argues Lincoln's town government is 'the spirit of what we tried to accomplish.'
Sudbury resident Bryan Semple had one simple question for the Board of Selectmen on Tuesday night: Why hasn't this been implemented? The "this" is a 2011 article which was submitted by fellow resident Dan De Pompei which calls for the town to hold two meetings each year, where the town manager, department heads, and town committees would report on the most important issues and decisions facing the town. Semple sat before the Board at its Tuesday night meeting asking what has happened since. "Is there any reason why we didn't implement it," he asked. "It was a suggestion. I would like some clarification. Drobinski indicates "residents can come before the Board to discuss what they think is important" If I remember correctly, that is the way things used to be until Drobinski when he was Chair required a written request to get put on the agenda and if the Chair didn't like it, it was basically thrown in the trash.
