Come Adopt Rosie at Buddy Dog

Eleven-year-old dog was saved from a kill shelter more than a year ago.

Rosie is an 11-year-old spayed female Terrier mix who has been with the Buddy Dog Humane Society since September 2009. She's a fiesty, older dog who has been given a second chance on life. She would do best in a quiet adult home, and tends to do things on her own terms. This is likely because she had to fend for herself at one point. She was found more than a year ago and taken to a kill shelter that deemed her too old for placement. That's when Buddy Dog took her in. You'll find Rosie in the Buddy Dog lobby, so stop by and say hi! And if you decide to adopt Rosie, or any of dogs or cats at Buddy Dog, you'll receive a prize. Just mention this video, or any Pet of the Week video on Sudbury Patch.

Come Adopt Kirstie at Buddy Dog

This feline likes to play and sit in windows.

Kirstie is a 5-year old, domestic short hair. She was found living among a colony of feral cats. However, she clearly is domesticated. She is playful at times, but mostly enjoys watching birds out the window. She is very happy to be your companion, but would rather not be held. She does have food allergies, a condition easily controlled by feeding her a prescription diet. Kirstie, along with many other cats and dogs are waiting to be adopted at The Buddy Dog Humane Society, 151 Boston Post Road. Hours of operation are: Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 8 p.m.; and Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. Buddy Dog is closed on Mondays. To reach Buddy Dog, call 978-443-6990 or visit www.buddydoghs.org.

My family adopted Apollo a couple of weeks back. Apollo is also an older all black American short hair cat who won the hearts of my two sons ages 14 and 17. Apollo has become quite the addition to the home and just this morning was playing frisbee with my husband! If you can imagine the Pink Panther all black then you know Apollo! Be aware that the personality of the cats and dogs you experience …   more ›
