As the season of giving thanks approaches, we find ourselves wanting to help our neighbors to the north who are still recovering from the recent flooding caused by Tropical Storm Irene. As many of you know, Rob Taylor and his family live in Vermont during the school year. Thankfully, they were not affected by the flooding, but they have seen first hand its devastating effect on hundreds of families and businesses. We invite you and your family to join us in reaching out to some of these families by helping to supply them with Thanksgiving dinner. We have been in communication with Upper Valley Haven in White River Junction, Vt. For more than 30 years, this organization has provided temporary shelter and educational programming for homeless…

Campers, family and counselors created an evening of song and celebration.
Outside it was drizzling, but the scent of the woods and the campfire graced a tightly congregated and sheltered crowd of Camp Sewataro campers and families; they came together Monday evening to sing songs in celebration of the summer and its conclusion. Providing entertainment were John Fitzsimmons on guitar and Patrick "Hat Rack" Gallagher on the harp of The Folk Tradition. Infusing the gathering were energetic camp counselors who kept kids dancing and smiling for the evening. In fact, they had been keeping the energy up throughout the entire stormy day, owner and director Mark Taylor gratefully pointed out in his closing remarks.
