Sudbury Father Running Boston Marathon for Diabetic Son
For Andrew Sugg, running in tomorrow's race for the second time has purpose.
Andrew Sugg ran the Boston Marathon in 2000 "for kicks." Thirteen years later, he's running to help kick diabetes for his son, Sam. Sugg will run in support of the New England Chapter of JDRF, the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF, formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, is one of 35 charities in the Boston Athletic Association's Boston Marathon Official Charity Program. "I’ve raised a lot of money, and I'm happy to be running again for a purpose," Andrew said. "I'm running for Sam. I’m ready to go."
