More Snow on the Way for Friday

Exactly how much is still unknown.

Don't put away those shovels and rock salt just yet. Another winter blast is heading this way to end the work week. According to the National Weather Service, another coastal storm is expected to hit southern New England with the potential for several inches of snow. The snow is predicted to start falling around 2 a.m., and highs are only supposed to be in the low 20s. According to WHDH Ch. 7, computer models are showing anywhere from a few inches to a foot of snow for Friday morning into the afternoon. Once the storm leaves, be prepared to bundle up. High temperatures are expected to only reach the teens, with lows in the single digits, with some areas possibly going below 0. According to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency, use…

MEMA Issues Tips For Staying Safe in Extreme Cold

Temperatures are expected to dip down near single digits.

The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Cold Alert  for Monday. Temperatures will dip near single digits overnight and the windchill will be close to single digits througout the day. The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) has issued a set of tips for staying safe in extreme cold conditions. "As we enter the time of year when we can expect extremely low temperatures and wind chills, we all must take precautions to minimize the dangers presented by such severe weather," stated MEMA Acting Director Kurt Schwartz. "To that end, MEMA presents these cold weather safety tips."
