Former Lincoln-Sudbury Great DeNormandie Registers Key Assist for Revs

Under-18 youth team ends postseason with a 2-2 draw with Internationals.

FRISCO, Texas – The New England Revolution Under-18s played their third and final game of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Showcase on Monday, earning a 2-2 draw against the Internationals. With the result, the U18s finished the event with a 1-1-1 record. New England took control of the game early on, striking first in the fifth minute. Bryan DaSilva (Milford, Mass.) played Fabio Machado, Jr. (Leominster, Mass.), who fired a shot across the Internationals’ goalkeeper and inside the far post. Machado’s Showcase output totaled two goals and four assists. The Revs continued to create chances throughout the first half, but a 29th-minute own goal leveled the score before halftime. Lincoln-Sudbury's Denormandie Keys Postseason Win for Revs

Former Warriors star tallies game-winning goal against Chargers.

FRISCO, Texas – The New England Revolution’s Under-18 team played its first game of the U.S. Soccer Development Showcase on Friday, coming back from a two-goal deficit to earn a 3-2 victory against the Clearwater Chargers at Pizza Hut Park. Early mental lapses sent the U18s into halftime facing a two-goal deficit, but a re-energized Revolution squad began staging a comeback early in the second half. The Revs earned a corner kick in the 53rd minute, taken by Fabio Machado, Jr. (Leominster, Mass.). Sean MacDonald (Candia, N.H.) got a head on the service at the far post and found the back of the net to make it 2-1. The New England Revolution’s Under-18 team played two matches at Durfee High School in Fall River last weekend, facing Empire United on Saturday before playing Seacoast United on Sunday. The youth squads came out of the weekend with a combined record of 1-1-2. UNDER-18s The Under-18s battled first-place Empire United to a 3-3 draw on Saturday in the teams’ second and final meeting during the 2010-11 season. Cole Denormandie (Lincoln, Mass.) put the Revs ahead in the 35th minute, assisted by Fabio Machado, Jr. (Leominster, Mass.), who helped spring a counter-attack. The New England Revolution Under-18s and Under-16s went a combined 4-0-0 last weekend and both teams moved up in the Northeast Division standings in the U.S. Soccer Development League. Each team played two matches, taking on South Central Premier in Hopkinton on Saturday before returning to Gillette Stadium to meet Oakwood Soccer Club on Sunday. UNDER-18s The Under-18s earned a 4-1 victory against South Central Premier on Saturday in the first of the teams’ two meetings during the 2010-11 season. The New England Revolution Under-18 team played two matches in New Jersey over the weekend against Players Development Academy and the New York Red Bulls, both of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy’s Liberty Division. The youth squad came out of the weekend with a combined record of 0-2-2. The Under-18s dropped a 2-1 decision to Players Development Academy on Saturday. An 18th-minute goal gave PDA the early lead, which held through to the final 10 minutes of the match. FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution Under-18 team played two matches in New York on Saturday and Sunday against Met Oval and Cosmos Academy East, both of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy’s Liberty Division, and came out of the weekend with a 1-0-1 mark. The Under-18s kicked off the weekend with a convincing 5-2 win over Met Oval on Saturday. An 18th-minute goal by Cole Denormandie (Lincoln, Mass.) – assisted by Cameron Bielski (Dover, Mass.) – gave the Revs the lead, which they then doubled in the 35th minute. Lincoln-Sudbury's Denormandie Ready to Resume Season with Revolution

Revolution youth preparing for second year in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Lincoln-Sudbury great Cole Denormandie is set to continue his second season as a member of the New England Revolution youth development program on Saturday, March 5, at Gillette Stadium. During the 2009-10 season with the Revolution Under-16 team, Denormandie made 28 appearances – including 25 starts – as a midfielder. Finishing the regular season with a 14-7-8 record, the Revs advanced to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy playoffs in Browns Summit, N.C. Naturally a forward, the Lincoln native was frequently deployed on the wings for the Revolution. And despite his new position, Denormandie scored 10 goals and registered three assists. Lincoln-Sudbury's DeNormandie Makes College Soccer Commitment

Revolution youth player to pursue college soccer career at Cincinnati.

New England Revolution Under-18 and Lincoln-Sudbury star Cole DeNormandie has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend and play soccer for University of Cincinnati. DeNormandie is one of six Revolution youth players to make college commitments this year, with more expected to announce their decisions this spring. “We are very proud that our players have reached decisions as to where to attend college as they prepare for the next phase of their soccer careers,” said Revolution Director of Youth Development Bryan Scales. “They are terrific young men and I expect that they will make a positive impact at these universities, both on and off the soccer field.” DeNormandie earned high school All-American and All-Region I (New England) …

Brookline Ends Lincoln-Sudbury Boys Soccer Team's Season in Penalty Kicks

There were players on the sideline with cramped muscles while others were simply gasping for air, trying to dig for one last ounce of energy. After 40 minutes of regulation and two overtime periods Wednesday afternoon, it was obvious that host Lincoln-Sudbury and the Brookline boys soccer teams had given everything they had in their Division 1 North Sectional quarterfinal match.
