L-S Girls Swim Team Races to 5th in North Sectionals

On Saturday the Lincoln-Sudbury girls swim and dive team competed in the Division 1 North Sectionals at MIT, placing fifth out of 25 teams. The meet started off with the 200 medley relay. The team of Catherine MacKeen, Ansley Baker, Kim Yang and Leah McCabe came in fifth. The 200 free was won by Marblehead's Ryan Alexander with a very fast time of 1:52.76. In the 200 IM MacKeen dropped 8 seconds off her seed time for a time of 2:15.80 in eighth place. Megan Griffin, Jenny Genovese and Baker all scored in the 50 free. Griffin led with a third place finish in a time of 24.71. Yang scored 458.80 points in diving for third place, just 0.65 points separating second and third.
