Sudbury's Agricultural Fair Kicks Off Autumn Season

Eleven year-old wins Great Pumpkin contest.

The second annual Sudbury Farmer's Market and Agricultural fair let residents of Sudbury take their pick of fresh local-grown foodstuffs from all over the area on the grounds of the historic Longfellow's Wayside Inn. Vendors sold a wide array of organic fruits, vegetables, homemade bakery items and generous cuts of grass-fed beef. There were various activities for children to enjoy during the event, including a magician, petting zoo and a pumpkin-decorating booth. The fair was put on by the Sudbury Agricultural Commission with the goal of raising awareness of where and how food makes it to the dinner table.
