Burglary Suspect Held on $2,700 Bond

Lawyer for Jamie Johnson says his client wasn't in Sudbury the night of a house break on Feb. 8.

The attorney for a 35-year-old Braintree man arrested for allegedly breaking into a home at 369 Old Lancaster Road on Feb. 8 says his client was not in Sudbury the night of the house break and the Commonwealth of Masschusetts hasn't proved otherwise. Jamie Johnson, a Braintree resident, turned himself into Sudbury police late Thursday morning to face charges including felony larceny and vandalism of property. He was transported to Framingham District Court for his arraignment, where defense attorney Mike Mattson argued the police have the wrong guy. Braintree man found, thanks to help from homeowner's stolen iPad.

It's a new twist on an old crime: a suspect turns himself in after being "located," thanks to a signal from a stolen iPad. Jamie Johnson, the Braintree man Sudbury police believe was involved in a house break-in last week on Old Lancaster Road, has turned himself in at the Sudbury Police Department. Jamie Johnson of Braintree is wanted for allegedly stealing $12K during house break.

Jamie Johnson, a Braintree man the Sudbury Police Department believes was involved in a house on Old Lancaster Road, is reportedly ready to turn himself in. Lt. Robert Grady said the department received notice Johnson would arrive at the Sudbury Police Department some time today. A news crew from Fox is on the scene awaiting Johnson's arrival. Braintree Man Sought in Connection with Felony in Sudbury

The following arrest information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Sudbury Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for a Braintree man they say was involved in a housebreak on Old Lancaster Road on Feb. 8. According to Lt. Scott Nix, the housebreak occurred at about 7:30 p.m. A resident of the home called the department at about 9:23 p.m. to report the house break. Nix said the suspect apparently gained entrance by breaking a window near the front door. After officers and detectives secured the scene, it was determined nearly $12,000 worth of the jewelry and an iPad were stolen. Nix said detectives utilized the tracking device that was on the iPad, which brought them to 36 St. Mark's Road in Dorchester. It was found that residence belongs to the suspect's girlfriend.
