L-S Swim Teams Sweep Cambridge Rindge & Latin

Warriors also split a meet with Weston.

(EDITOR'S NOTE: The following was submitted to Sudbury Patch.) On January 8th the LS swim and dive teams hosted their second meet of the new year which ended in great success.  With the help of remarkable swims and impressive efforts from all, the boys and girls team managed to defeat Cambridge Rindge and Latin Falcons with the boys winning 123-62 and the girls 102-71. The meet began well with the 200 Medley Relay in which the LS girls placed first, second and fourth.  The team of Katherine O'Shea, Ansley Baker, Catherine MacKeen and Leah McCabe came in first by a comfortable margin.   The boys team prevailed as well finishing 1st, 3rd and 4th.  Achieving first place was the team of Taylor Brown, Dylan Brown, Tom Edwards and Andrei Rakitin…

Lincoln-Sudbury Swim Teams Sweep Hopkinton

Several Warriors earn state-qualifying times.

The Lincoln-Sudbury swim and dive teams competed against Hopkinton at a spectator-filled Atkinson Pool on Dec. 27. The girls won 108-76 and the boys continued their winning swims with a 105-74 victory. Four L-S girls teams competed in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Catherine MacKeen (backstroke), Ansley Baker (breaststroke) Megan Griffin (butterfly) and Leah McCabe (freestyle) came in first with a winning time of 1:57.10. The team of Michelle Iskandar (backstroke), Caroline Hutlin (breaststroke), Kim Yang (butterfly) and Katie Smith (freestyle) came in third with a sectional qualifying time of 2:08.96. The team of Emily Huang (backstroke), Mary Jo Samojla (breaststroke), Shay Darcey (butterfly) and Nathalie Cabrera (freestyle) …
