Unemployment Rate Dips in Sudbury

Town currently stands at 6.0 percent.

There's good news for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including residents of Sudbury. The latest unemployment figures released showed a drop in figures from July 2010 to August 2010. The unemployment rate dropped from 9.1 percent to 8.3 across the state. For Sudbury, the rate dipped from 6.8 to 6.0. Compared to this time last year, the rates are down six-tenths of a percent for Sudbury and three-tenths of a percent lower across the state. The actual number of unemployed residents in Sudbury fell from 596 in July to 517 in August.
