Half Day for Sudbury Public Schools

Lincoln-Sudbury closing at 1:20 p.m.

The first of a one-two winter punch that is expected to drop up to 20 inches of snow on Sudbury by Thursday morning has forced Sudbury Public Schools Superintendent John Brackett to issue an early release today. "Due to the pending snow accumulation throughout today, we will operating on an early release schedule today," Brackett said in a released statement. "Schools will be dismissed at the typical early release/ILAP times. There will be no (afternoon) kindergarten." Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School will stay open a little longer, closing at 1:20 p.m., according to WCVB's website. The weather may also affect local government meetings and town events. The First Sudbury Summer Camp Vendor Fair has been re-scheduled to Thursday, Feb. 3rd, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Fairbank Community Center Gym. Open to general public. Free. Another Snow Day for Sudbury

Schools canceled, town offices delay openings, some athletic events may still be on.

Another snowstorm has hit Sudbury ... so what's new this winter season? The National Weather Service's winter storm warning is still in effect today, with 4 to 7 inches of snow likely before the storm pulls out later this afternoon. Heavy snow is expected to fall until 10 a.m., then taper off to lighter snow, according to WHDH Ch. 7. Once the storm ends, there will be a slight chance for some sunshine.
