A Summer Treat: Strawberry Concert at the Martha Mary Chapel
Sudbury residents enjoy a bit of jazz with strawberry shortcake.
One of the gems of summer in Sudbury is the Strawberry Concert Series at the Martha Mary Chapel on the grounds of the Wayside Inn. On each Tuesday in July, the chapel hosts concert performances, serving strawberry shortcake at intermission. This week wrapped up the 2011 series with a performance by Violette singing soft jazz, R&B, jump blues, swing, and pop backed by her instrumental quartet. Many of the numbers performed were written by Violette. The photos above capture the musical and culinary experience of the evening.
