A call to the Sudbury Police Department on May 18 regarding a domestic issue resulted in the arrest of a local man. At about 2:06 p.m., officers were dispatched to Kay Street to investigate the report. After arriving and the investigation was completed, officers arrested Matthew A. Weinstein, 20, of 54 Kay St. He was charged with domestic assault and battery. Weinstein was released at about 4:40 p.m. and was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court on May 20.

A motor vehicle stop by the Sudbury Police Department on May 17 resulted in the arrest of a Marlborough woman. Just after midnight, Rhonda J. Zakharoff, 52, of 25 Boston Post Road East, was pulled over on Boston Post Road in Sudbury. During the investigation, the responding officer found a warrant out for her arrest. According to Lt. Robert Grady, the warrant was for a shoplifting charge out of Falmouth District Court. Zakharoff was released at 1:31 a.m. and arraigned later that day at an unknown court.

A motor vehicle stop by the Sudbury Police Department on May 15 resulted in the arrest of a South Grafton woman. According to acting Chief Scott Nix, an officer on patrol pulled over a motorist at about 4:38 p.m. on Lincoln Road. After an investigation was completed, Pamela S. Carota, 44, of 54 Orchard St., was found to have a warrant out for her arrest from Greenfield District Court. Nix said the warrant was for uninsured operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration. Carota was released at 6:56 p.m. and was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court on May 16.

A New York woman is facing multiple charges after leading the Sudbury Police Department on a low-speed chase on May 13. According to Lt. Robert Grady, an officer on patrol began following the motorist near the intersection of Concord and Boston Post roads at about 10:45 p.m. Grady said the motorist refused to pull over as she led the officer on a 3-mile chase into Wayland. Grady said speeds never topped 30 mph. When the officer was finally able to pull over the vehicle, Ping Sun, 54, of 7021 166th St., in Fresh Meadows, N.Y., was arrested and charged with: She was released at 1:33 a.m. on May 14 and was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court later that day. A motor vehicle stop by the Sudbury Police Department on May 12 resulted in the arrest of a Maynard man. According to Lt. Robert Grady, an officer on patrol on Union Avenue pulled over a motorist just after 10 p.m. After an investigation was completed, Geraldo F. Filho, 34, of 3 Florida Court, was arrested and charged with: Filho was held overnight and was arraigned at Framingham District Court on May 13. In other police news from March 12:

A one-car accident involving a pedestrian on May 10 sent one person to the hospital. According to Sudbury Police Lt. Robert Grady, the pedestrian was struck while walking along Willow Road at about 5:45 a.m. She was transported to a local hospital with minor, visible injuries. "It appears solar glare was a major factor in the accident," Grady said. "We urge people to use caution and be mindful solar glare is a factor this time of year." A 911 call to the Sudbury Police Department on May 6 regarding a domestic dispute resulted in the arrest of a local man. According to Lt. Robert Grady, officers were dispatched to Crescent Lane at about 8:44 p.m. after receiving a call about a disturbance between a husband and wife. After responding officers interviewed two parties and completed an investigation, they found probable cause to make an arrest, Grady said. Robert J. Cantow, 52, of 45 Crescent Lane, was charged with domestic assault and battery (pushing his wife). He was released at 11:36 p.m. and was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court on May 7. In other police news from May 6:

A motor vehicle stop by the Sudbury Police Department on May 5 resulted in the arrest of a Marlborough man. At about 2:19 a.m., Daren M. Paz, 22, of 105 2nd Road, was pulled over on Wayside Inn Road. After the responding officer completed an investigation, Paz was arrested and charged with: Paz was held until his arraignment at Framingham District Court the morning of May 6. Also on May 5, a woman reported her wallet was stolen while attending an event at Longfellow's Wayside Inn.
