Mike Hunter is a lifetime organic gardener & recreational gardening advocate and a landscape architect. Holding a Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from Syracuse University, College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse New York, his undergraduate work was also in Landscape Architecture at the University of Massachusetts, College of Natural Resources & the Environment in Amherst, Massachusetts.

And does he have a green thumb? Mike's sister, Tori, says it best, "Mike can stick a fence post in the ground and it will sprout leaves".

He also is a member of the Sudbury Planning Board, representing the interests of the citizens of the town on subdivision proposals and long-term town planning issues. Along with many volunteers from the town, he helped in the creation of Sudbury's current Master Plan and continues to advocate for smart growth and conservation.

Mike currently works as a Broker with Coldwell Banker in Sudbury and enjoys collecting gardening tips from fellow enthusiasts, novices and well wishers. He’s happy to hear yours …

Mike's Gardening Philosophy:

I believe that every garden can be beautiful, functional and sustainable.

Beauty: Regardless of the style of your home or existing garden, the principles of balance, contrast and harmony can bring a sense of order and unity to your residence.

Function: As important as beauty might be, if you can’t make use of the landscape around your home, precious living space is going to waste.

Sustainability: Any garden can be established and maintained with a positive impact on the environment and without wasting precious natural resources.
