Local Artists Featured in Holiday Exhibition & Sale at Sudbury Gallery

Opens for viewing on Nov. 30 at Walker-Cunningham Fine Art Gallery.

Walker-Cunningham Fine Art’s annual “Small Works, Big Joy!” holiday exhibition and sale features a range of local, regional and national artists including several members of the Sudbury Art Association.  All work is for sale and offered at gift-giving prices.

“I am thrilled to be hosting our annual “Small Works” exhibition for the first time in our new Sudbury gallery – it gives me a great opportunity to showcase the immense local talent we have here in Sudbury and beyond.  You’ll find items for sale in a range of mediums and styles as well as gift-giving price points for every budget,” gallery owner Sarah B. Cunningham said in a statment.

Sudbury art on view includes bench-made furniture by Ray Bachand, nature-inspired ceramic sculpture by Jaeok Lee, egg tempera and watercolor paintings by Jack Standish and colorful abstract prints and watercolors by Louise Povall- all members of the Sudbury Art Association. The exhibition also features an inaugural showing of Napa Valley artist and designer Paul Sardelli with a series of his whimsical still lifes, newly published Canton-based photographer Sandra Goroff’s views of New England and a series of continental watercolors by 19th century American artist Truman Seymour with view of Florence, Tuscany, Seville, Tangiers and Mexico all circa 1880.

During the Dec. 7 holiday reception, the gallery is hosting a book signing with Sandra Goroff for her recently published volume of photographs Solitary Soul (Lorimer Press). Goroff’s books and prints will be available for purchase.
